Quickest 0- to 60 MPH Boats?
I Love the idea of smoking a supercharged wave runner from a stand still
What are some of the quickest outboard hulls and motor combinations to achieve this goal? Not talking about motors with super low pitched props that squash top end...Just a real good balanced package that scream on acceleration and achieve big top end...Real boats not ultra light race boats...Thanks

that's just plain retarded or guess you have to be to do something like that no sane person could pull that conversion off. and why ??? those new jet skis are real quick I don't race them because most of the time they are looking at you and not whats ahead
and kinda get to close to you and the water patrol sees that and wamo a ticket , they show up while cruising and try to race I turn other way they keep coming back so eventually I drop the hammer see ya .Last edited by eli; 04-12-2015 at 04:17 PM.

My champboat takes off like a rocket! I've had 3 mirages , Stv, nothing can compare to a true tunnel with an s3000 with a speedy. Once I got strapped in, I was hooked

I raced my brother's 1100 two stroke Waverunner with my SS2000 when I had a 150XR4. He was faster out of the hole, but I passed him pretty quickly. His Waverunner is a low 60 mph machine.
How much faster are the new PWC? My SS2000 accelerates a lot harder with the 225 PM that's on it now.
I'd expect any Mirage/STV/Allison with big power and a small prop could run with a PWC to 60 and run away after that.

Its going to take a light boat with big power and a small wheel to accelerate with some of the pwc that are running around now. I had a Yamaha sho with riva pulleys, intake grate, and impellor. It was an 83 mph ski and pulled like a mule out of the hole. I know my stv wouldn't catch it until above 70-it was making about 400 hp.

My lake racer boat in ODBA uses a stock 260, has to weigh 1540lb. with driver after racing and will break 100mph in the 1/4 with a 22 in pitch prop, 9,900 to 10,000rpm, It will beat my ZG1400 Kawasaki out of the hole but the bike has 30mph advantage at the finish line
The boat is done at 3/4 track the bike is just getting warmed up.We have invented the world; WE see

I have sat next to some 80 mph skis but there was a nasty ski at river ranch a few yrs ago that ran 90 in 660. It was turbo had no back seat and was 100% race ready. A race boat would destroy it but a lake boat would get put on the trailer.
Thatsaid I've never had a problem with the newest stock skis. Their supercharged blah blah vs an 87 octane fishing motor with big gears and wheel. Yea they come out of the hole better but ur cruising by them at 4500 in short order.
here's a video my mom took 8yrs ago after I decided to settle the debate about how this kid's (daddy bought) jetski is

Got to play with a couple skis on the Hills.River a few weeks ago. Had my son and 2 of his friends with me fishing, so had a good xtra 700lbs in the boat. After watching the skis zoom around for a little while we pulled up the troll motor and had some fun. Ski obviously got out in front but didn't stay there long. Boy on ski said " WOW...didn't expect that to happen". Not really in to PWC's so not sure what they were, but they were running in the mid 70's.
