Gordon took a look at my 130 tuner and adapter over the weekend. The tuner has a small "gap" at the top of the divider where it mates to the adapter. Gordon recommended welding up the gap and machining it meet the adapter. He flt it was worth a few HP. You might want to do the same since yours will be apart.

Gordon did but I dont know where they are set at.

Dropped the crank/flywheel/rods etc. off at Falicon yesterday and I will say that the shop is impressive. Much bigger than I expected, very professional, and very busy. All they do is cranks and I think I made a good choice. Everything will e shot peened, checked for straightness, balanced, etc.
The guy who does the balancing is out of town this week but should be back Monday and the said it will be ready next week. Normally turn around would be a couple days on something like this.

Hey Mr. D How is your build going?
I could not believe the difference between a late eighties 115 exhaust and 130 exhaust. What else can be done besides filling in at the divide? Black one is the 115
Had to drill 10 of the exhaust chest bolts out what a pain hope it is worth it.

Is the balance being done even or is the balance factor a secret?

The crank, flywheel, rods, etc. are at Falicon Crankshafts in Clearwater and I am just waitng for a phone call to to tell me its done. No secrets, just waiting.
I have either been out of town or had family visiting for the last 3 weeks so I have had very little time. One of our oard members is doing some welding and reshaping on my exhaust adapter as well and he had the nerve to take some time off

There is some blending inside the passages of the exhaust adapter plate that can be done but its not likely to amount to a lot. If you look, you will see there are what looks like a ramp on each side in the passages with sharp edges.

Gordon's propshaft dyno is at Sam's in jax but thats a hike unless your going that way for something.

With the big props and long runs you like, even if you jet it to live it will still go faster then I would want to go in that boat

I honestly think there was just a little bit left in it when it sucked salt water and got hurt. It went 84.5mph on a very hot humid day in fresh water with no current and less than ideal wind. I had really just started testing higher engine heights with the ET vs the cleavers which would not hook up any higher. It still makes me want to see what could be done with a fresh STOCK powerhead on a cold clear day.

Being a little tunnel saved my ass when the cleaver blew out on the last day I ran it. A V bottom would have dropped the bow and hooked. The little tunnel just floated. With the ET, I am 3/4" higher and still hooked up which is where I picked up a couple MPH. Every 1/4" up is almost 2mph for me. Where its at now its starting to act like it has a cleaver on it again and I am leary of going higher. I may have Rich at a little tip cup and try another 1/4" up once I have the motor dialed in.

I'm dying to see some video of the new motor, I've watched all your youtube videos there great and who nows if Mike Biel is really gonna start building these little tunnel hulls again I may have to place an order for one in the very near future here. Although I must admit I just have a 75 OMC short shaft. Can you run a short shaft on this boat and are you gonna do this once you get your powerhead and al back??
