    Perfect.

When I first started putzing w/fast V bottoms I built and installed mechanical/adjustable trim tab's on most of them for when I skied w/them or knew I'd be in rough water.
    Worked great.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Needs to be stainless steel and I have a dealer account with CP performance. The stuff I bought is Glenwood. Very nice material.

I am going to wait on this until I do my 15" mid since the top of the turnbuckle will attach to the bottom of the jack plate and Ill have it all apart then anyway. Ill probably have the mid next week and then have to paint it etc.

Well that only took 4 months lol

I added 5 degree wedges at the same time so it hard to tell how effective they are. They are set level with the bottom of the tunnel now and it seems to come off plane flatter. Holeshot has a LOT less bowrise but Im sure much if that is the wedges. ill play with the angle a bit and see how it reacts.

Youre prob right about the holeshot being the wedges and the coming off plane being the tabs. Tabs will do that...help support the boat on top of the water longer before the water just finally collapses and the boat drops. Its all about psi...and you just added more "i" to carry the boat. Nice work!

I bet if you lower the trailing edge ¼" you will know what they provide. That would be adding a fair bit of hook to the tunnel to level the hull at low speed. I expect this hook would have minimal effect once you are up and running.

Very old thread; S&F still comes back as top search's for me, so I figured I would update and pay forward. Couldn't agree more with all the points above. We did a custom tab on my 25' cat and worked fantastic; I just scored the attached, Xmas came early this year.

I bought some 6x9 ss bennit tabs, trashed the actuators, 4 ss encapsulated 10'' turnbuckles, 8 ss u brackets, commercial school lavatory supply house bathroom brackets, turnbuckels have jaw ends. worked beautiful, skater18, 1 on each sponson end. above 35, there above the water, just helps me plane quicker + they look awesome. built a tunnel tab, did not work at all.
