Jack would be REALLY smart to build a 21ft version of the STV RR or T3. Have a race boat with a 4 stroke that could truly still run around a lake also. Hes got the best hulls to stretch a few ft. The 2 strokes will be running for cover.....Its coming.

There are completed molds for the 22' Euro that Roark had designed and built for twin 280s. I had committed to buying one from him when I picked up my last new Euro in 95' but he never followed thru with the project due to the fear of cost when rigged and completed, liability, and the fact that he and his son were into the race cars so heavy at that time. Rumor has it that they are in Hendersonville in a guys garage. A new 500 with the MoTec would be an absolute weapon. I agree with Jim that a 22 Stoker would also be an incredible rig-I had a friend who had twin 260s on a 22' Stoker in the mid 90s and it did everything really well.

You should be really smart and bankroll a dozen of them. Be the northern distributer for that model. Could call it the "pork chop Jr" ...

Chaz = wunderin, did a two stroke crack ya @ the drags .. recently ?
Thats twice ya said something derogatory in a couple days.
You do realize that haven't built the 300x in 20 years ...right ???
    Don't say it was a lil-ole 2.5 that spanked yur supercharged 4.6L ..

BTW .. Ifin ya took an online class like EFI University, they would teach you how to read schematics and crimp wires. That way you could buy a $2000 ECU , install it yourself and save $4000+ dollars. But then you'd be a King not Kong ..

Are these systems piggybacking the OE, or are they standalone replacements for the OE electrics? Some of the motorcycle piggyback systems I deal with now are freaking amazing. I'd expect no less from Motec.

I saw pics of the 22 STV plug back around 2000. Two years ago I asked the same guy that had those pics what happened to that project. He said it was all scraped. I heard the liability with the go fast boats was the main reason.

So when will we see a 600HP, trellis frame 15" mid on the back of that Prosport? Be the first Ally to win Jasper with a troller on the front.

LOL, we tried it. At a wimpy stock 450hp form it wasn't the right boat. At 600 it won't be any better. Even if the motor was lighter. I have all the big parts here to do it. My 450R when converted will go on a different boat. The 300R is a better motor for the Allison.

I think 600hp on a 21 liberator, built light, with single center steer seat and race hatch in the back would be pretty hard to beat for a drag boat, lake racer, and river runner.

Jr. No need to get butt hurt ...

If you do break down and buy a $10,000.00 kit, ya might aught-ah read the instructions. I'm sure it mentions something about 600hp = good gasoline. Your welcome ...

Sorry Chaz but you could not be more wrong on this one! Those motec kits are a bargain! The development time to make that all work with can data for smartcraft/garmin/simrad etc... Also the complexity of variable cam timing on an DOHC engine. Sorry you poking around on a tune with PPH, pulsewidth or a VE table does not cut it. I am sure you timing tables look like a locked out distributor too haha! Its all sooooooooooo easy.

Just because you can't do something, doesn't mean that I am wrong.
Motec did step away from their standard gold box that I'm use to seeing for the last 15 years or so and made a black direct bolt on unit.
No doubt they put in some effort to make it work, but as we both know they are only using about a tenth of it's overall capacity. Is it worth $6000.00+ The air inlet grate / end cap and pully another $4000.00
A set of Diamond pistons for $2500.00 Rods that look like they were built by Pauter for about the same. Might be worth it to you .. once again, I work too hard for my money and I've been around long enough to know what things really cost ..

    25' Motion twin 300x
I built a lot of cars for other people boat parts too.
