Snappy
Fired up the ff build with carbs. Sounds great. Put in Chris Carson stuffers and 4 petal reeds. Lapped the cages. Opened the exhaust dump and plate like a promax. I believe this is the snappiest engine I’ve ever built for wet reeds and 40 amp flywheel. Almost turned over the engine stand. Sounds way better than efi. Regulators are putting out 14.5 volts.

I hear ya. The sound of these things is what got me hooked 40 years ago. Can’t wait to sell the promax so I can run this thing.
