    Trim wiring?

I’m putting older style trim solenoid system on a 2 wire mid section. Is there a way to make this work? The solenoids are firing but trim doesn’t run. If I ground 1 of the pump wires and hit the switch, the other side runs. How does the 2 wire system work? Do the 2 wire solenoids take the other side to ground? What am doing wrong?

2 wires pumps use relays. The relays have positive and negative contacts in them. 3 wire has a dedicated ground. 2 wire reverses the ground.

Hey Ski, I can't wrap my head around how the conversion harness works. Have you done that before?

Yes. I never bought this harness before. I always used parts i had. But it's not really a conversion. It's really just the correct parts for a 2 wire motor. It just plugs in. It's really very simple. Both relays are negative when off. Both blue and green are ground. When you activate a relay, it switches to positive, completing the circuit. Depending on which relay you activate, blue or green, you get up or down.

I hear you can make it work but takes 4 solenoids, I didn't wanna bother trying it so I used a harness (customers boat)
