    Innovators & Innovations on Water.

    Regent Viceroy Seaglider.

"Co-founders and friends Thalheimer, a skilled sailor, and chief technology officer Mike Klinker, who grew up lobster fishing, met while both were freshmen at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and later worked together at Boeing. They started Regent in 2020
    ."

The hull is lifted up on the hydrofoils by electric motors. Also, the electric motor's blades push air-faster over the wings top-surface to get extra wing lift. Resulting in more wing lift at slower boat speeds.

Winged ferry that glides like a pelican tested for coastal transportation in R.I.

They have windsurfers faster than your boat

    Windsurf World Record
Windsurfers can reach incredible speeds, with the world record for the fastest speed being 103.67 kph (55.98 knots) set by Björn Dunkerbeck in 2012, though Antoine Albeau previously set the 500-meter speed record at 53.49 knots (99.06 kph) in 2015 and 2024. Normal recreational windsurfing speeds are typically between 20-30 knots, while professional racing can reach 30-40 knots, and even higher with specialized equipment and conditions.

    Speed Variations
Beginner: For learning, 10-15 knots of wind is ideal.
Recreational: On planing boards, 20-30 knots is a common range for fun.
Racing: Professional racers can hit 30-40 knots.
Speed Windsurfing: The specialized discipline of speed windsurfing pushes the limits, with competitors reaching speeds over 50 knots.

Putting on my captain obvious, hat: If there's any commercial viability, it will be MUCH more easily attained with a lighter, denser energy source such as a petrol fuel. Unless (as usual with these things) there is massive subsidy.
