    Nice find!!!!!

For a second there I thought it was the Venus in this video of mine from 14 years ago when a few of us hit up the St Croix River.

Ya, it's obvious that all the money I spent on treatments, counseling and the many 12step programs was a waste for my condition. The good news is I'm working a deal on a V-king and a hst

My Favorite Hydrostream, 1979 I bought a V bottom version, a great ruff water boat

Ron Baker raced a Factory V bottom Venus at the Havasu classic made out of Coremat,

I drove to the factory and bought it, it was my first real race boat. 1982 with an 82 235 OMC

I bought a new motor, never ran it, took the powerhead off, and drove to Michigan to HRN's house he worked for OMC and did race props

He did all the porting, and prop work,

it was solid red, said Miss West Point Pepperell in big letters,

Harold Nauss (not sure of spelling) told me to widen the pad to 12 inches, so I did, Very fast, but spun like a top during race conditions.

Roark Summerford came up to me and said get another boat.

Kim Howard running a Sleekcraft befriended me, introduced me to the owner and he sold me my first of two SSTs at cost.

Kinda what Wally did to the Allison pad (among other bottom changes) when he designed the V21, but it worked for him, very well.

Good Score, you might want to try a necklace made with garlic cloves, it might help ward them away.
Wriggleys gum makes me think of boating, "Double your engines, Double your fun"

I never asked about it's construction. but under the glass was Coremat, Allison uses coremat in there decks, when Doc Tripp hooked into the pontoon boats that had a Cop with a radar gun, the boat sank, and through the chipped gel coat was coremat, raceboat version.
These days they don't use gel coat or mat in construction of race boats, I was told Epoxy grabs better so they elimated it, in race boat construction.
Now they seam with no rubrail, (that's a fun job, fairing )

Ron Baker was a special guy, I really liked him, he always wanted to help others, He started drag racing in Florida when he moved there.

I asked Ron about increasing the size of the pad and he said they tested a wider pad and the boat spun in the corners under race conditions,

    He was RIGHT,

During an MVP race, the Idea was never to lift your foot, you trimmed the in going into a corner,

I've never driven anything that felt so "light" on the water, not unstable but actually "flying"... cool boat!
