apparently the season is not over
I just saw a big offshore outboard cat go by. I heard it and looked out the window to watch. It's 37F and windy - whitecaps with 2-3 foot chop. Cloudy but dry. Good for him.

Going to be 70 at LOTO tomorrow. We will be making a few rips before heading South to the Key West race week.

I bought my first xb2002 in October, finished rigging it first of November. Had to take it out. Was in MN, so I had all my snow machine gear on, lol. Couldn't let it sit all winter without a taste. Worth it.

Growing up we had a closed bow with a canvas camper top. Enjoyed many a ride into Thanksgiving when it was snowing. Just have to dress for the conditions.

Was doing some late year testing several years ago.
Headed from the channel to a cove at about 75 looking out ahead im thinking to myself
why does it look those gulls are standing and not swimming.
I was rite they were standing on ice.
Tunnel boats with SSMs dont slow down very fast at 75 luckily it was only 1/4 inch thick but did have to repaint the lower.

I could not see the color. The boat flew by in the main channel, which is about 1/2 mile off our shore. 4 stroke sound to it, even from here.

you mean "the bowling Alley" I know where you are from there! sun must have been in your eyes.
pretty sure it's over now, did see a pontoon boat cruising the river couple days ago ,probably not too cold if your getting some sunrays but most people too lazy to lower the bimini! my pet peeve with pontoons at my docks in the summer! already got a little ice forming along the shore line in my bay, bring it on sled is ready to rip!

We are well south of the alley, the marked channel going straight from there to Simcoe is 1/2 mile from here.
There was a boat towing a bigger boat south an hour ago.

Good friend of mine lives on an island in front of me. Has a fiberglass 'Newfie' boat that can break up to an inch of ice/then airboats & finally snowmobiles!
