Agreed! I am talking about making a small round plate with ears that replicates the sending unit. Then I will use cork gaskets on the top of the tank and between the sender and plate using the 5 machine screws that hold the sender on to hold all the stuff together. Using the ears to pull the tank up to just above flat so water will run off. Thanks.

what ever you use has to be flat. Also, I just checked Moeller marine tanks website, they say there is no adhesive that will stick to poly. hope this helps
I think I'm going to try the added plate between the sender and tank with gaskets. If it doesn't work then I just remove my contrapsions and I'm back to water sitting on my tank.
    No extra holes.

Permatex #84334 works ok but Wurth makes a fuel resistant non-curing silicone that works really well.

I never have used argon But, as a scientist my last rocket went completely out of the neighborhood. I was a success at 10 years old. Way past that skill level now, I work on boats. Hahaaa

We would all be very dangerous "Scientists" . When I was young, I drove into a friends yard just in time to see him sitting on a metal gas tank with a torch. When he touched it off, it separated @ the seams, lifting him off the ground about 3 feet and dumping him on the ground. apparently just fumes from the inside, no flames other than the main explosion and the metal protected him. He got an A+ in Scientology.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna pull the floor and look at my options.

Seems like best choice. I think its foolish to consider drilling more holes in the tank. Second option is to seal sender with Joe's suggestion. 5200 would likely stick but forget about ever removing it.
