I once was doing some research on a brand of early boats from 188th. I was lucky to give Sammy James a call and his wife answered the phone. Very nice lady but immediately "Sammy, another one about some race boat". Sam gets on the phone, I ask him my question he nicely gives ma few tidbits but says it really was not one he had a lot of background on. I will never forget ........ "call Brownie young man, get to him before he's pushing up daisies. That SOB knows just about everything".
