This is the inaugural race for the new T-3 Merc V6 in 1973.
And the race engine debuts not in America, but at a race in Germany.

Bob Spalding & the T-3 will come in second place, behind Renato Molinari with his Merc Inline 6.
After the race, Renato did a test drive of the T-3.

Certain Mercury logos instill memories and sentiments. These older Kiekhaefer Merc logos do that for many and me included.

However, in the modern age we live in today, I like the stylish look of the newer logos.
