First clue it was the operator error was the fender hanging on the side. Second is he did not slow down or adjust is load. Boat was probably overloaded as well.

The only guy with his chit together was the white boat. in water like that you never slow down. any one with any boating skills knows you loose all con trol if your not making headway. the dude yelling needs a smack in the face. when you have a following sea. you throttle up, always stay faster than the sea. or youll broach, a bad scenario. why the other idiots have the passangers move to the stern, common sense is hard to come by.. blaming the white boat for there lack of skills. notice the w b had no difficulty at all. DUH! the no wake signs, the bowriders idea no doubt.

To drive a car you need to take drivers education and have a permit/ license, to hunt (in most states) you need to pass a hunter safety class... to have control of a boat and innocent peoples lives regardless of size or HP all you need is $$$$... don't even need to know how to back a trailer.... guess its becoming more clear why boat insurance is going through the roof (other than natural disasters) and people get hurt or die on the water.

Have to remember the rules of proper seamanship. When piloting a drop stem open bow in rough seas always put all the weight as far forward as possible. Make sure your speed has no relation to the wave propagation. Throttle back if you get spray over the bow. Also just as important is trim the engine(s) to full down.

We don't need more laws. The mega-plethora of them on the books now are not being enforced.

The dummies will weed themselves out.
