Question What kind of 911 do you never buy?

One with rear damage. Am I right or am I right.

I'll pass on that one. Thinking about an early 80s SC to convert to a long hood RS.

Have you seen his 6 second street legal El Camino? That's in the 1/4 mile, not the 1/8 mile.

I have been amazed at how well the junk yard LS motors run. Take them apart, change the ring end gap, change the camshaft, add boost and your off!!!

I have my dad's old '93 Z71 with the towing package. Also located a 2500 front dif. All I need is a 6.2, some parts, and a good transmission. Farm truck reinvented.

I have been even ridiculed for leaving my 5.7 (all alloy same as the Corvette) stock. They keep trying to talk me in to changing the camshaft. It has less than 50k on the clock and is a 20 year old 35th anniversary Z28. The last of that body style.

Hey, it does have an SLP cold air hood, air intake, and a Corsa cat back. Found a guy with a dyno and that can put a tune on it. I figure mid 12s with sticky tires, and STILL get 25+mpg!

Other projects I won't reveal the details on here. But it should get 45psi.

Have you priced the 80's air cooled Porsches?
Prices have skyrocketed in the past few years.
I would not be too afraid of a 911 with rear end damage, just not F'ed up like that one...If the price was right.

I know. I was looking at a 930 a while back. It was getting close to $100K and I was thinking about it. Ya only live once! Price a retro 911 RS.

I'll eventually get another. Missed a '73T a while back. Had a later EFI motor in it. Nothing original, but a good road beater!

Thinking about putting a hotrod 3.4L with around 300hp in mine. I'll use a different 915 because of the low revs compared to my '72 S (insured at $110K).

My S engine is kind of tired at 108K. Cam chain and followers have been changed, but still.

I figure 300hp and 2,200 pounds would be kind of fun.

Once I have the 2.4S engine rebuilt, the 3.4 and 915 will need a home. I'll find a SC roller somewhere.

To convert to a long hood, it will need all bumpers, spoilers, front fenders, hood, horn grills and lighting fixtures. Good thing is the rear steel SC rear fenders are very similar to the RS'.

Getting near completion of my 1974 914 restomod.
    964 engine with modifications.
    340HP in a 2100# car.
    Should be fun!
This was my first Porsche. Purchased in 1982.
