She cares for a wheelchair bound friend of mine and his wife (early onset dementia and Ahlemeier's) and also her blind widowed sister. I could not be any more fortunate.

    Great thread Will.

When people ask me how I stay positive with my health issues and how they effect my life. I tell them I know around the world there are a lot of people who have it worse than me and I am grateful for all I do have.

Sure, there are days it gets to you but you can't give up. Put your faith in God and the good days far outweigh the bad ones.

I had a great day off. Even though I'm a long ways from home. I got to tour the USS LEXINGTON here in Corpus Christi. Amazing ship from an amazing time. Click image for larger version.

The irony is that down the road in Brownsville, they are getting ready to cut up the Kitty Hawk that they bought for a PENNY?

I was on the road most of the day yesterday driving solo which leaves a lot of time to just relax and ponder. I have a usb with most of my old music library on there and its not all that well organized so its random to say the least which brings me to the point of this post; Bowie and Bing did a version of little drummer boy for a Christmas album that i really enjoy and normally i wouldnt entertain a Christmas song at any other time of the year than Christmas season but yesterday I indulged and for some reason i actually heard the lyrics and it sunk in. Bowie sings “Men of good will” a few times and let me tell ya that seems to be a massively missing component within todays public discourse.

Good will is the formula for a future we all will enjoy. If your goals and efforts for policy are driven by good will and not anger we can accomplish the same goal of freedom and the aftermath will be a much better place to live in peace.

This is a good thread with alot of positive imput. Thank you all for sharing. I have alot of gratitude and along list of blessings. However, I did not always see it. I lived in the fast lane for years with booze and drugs and paid the high price of low living. That was 30 years ago. Now things are good .I had alot of help along the way. Thank you God, my wife and family, good friends, and my job.
