Funny you should mention that. Looks like that very boat showed up in Pt. Pleasant as boat #721. Scroll down though the pics to see it.

Man that Tuff is flying for the first weekend out on a NEW design! I would bet it does 115 with some seat time.

It is surprising how fast they go with some weight in them, my 24 with a stock 300 will rip 94+ with 4 people even on a hot summer day. I am sure the 20 is light though and 105 is just the beginning, if it went 115 with that power and some prop testing on a cool day I would not be the slightest bit surprised.

It’s probably a light version, but I don't think it would have to be less then 800 lb to go 105. Not that I've ever driven 105. What else that size goes 105? A 21' Allison bass boat with a 300R is probably a 105 mph ride. Sure the 300R is likely more than 20 HP stronger than a 280. But a 21 foot Allison bass boat is 1250-1350 lb with a lot worse aero than a Tuff.
If it were my lottery win I would spec light with a ballast tankLast edited by David; 06-20-2022 at 03:58 PM.

Saw a gray and red v hull single outboard on lake Gaston on NC VA border last weekend. Merc 400r I believe. Wasn't sure of the make of the boat. We were on a slow boat so couldn't get closer to check it out. Curious if anyone knows the boat. Looked similar to a Tuff.
