I thought above cav plate exhaust wasn't used most places the boats would have had UIM class numbers on them

You thought right! This is a picture of Wilson running a cowbell at Havasu 1970. Prior to the Havasu race, Pruett ran this same boat at the 1970 Paris 6 Hour with a Twister. That's why you see the "ON" on the cowbell powered boat.

FYI ..... I cropped that photo from another some years ago when we were looking for a photo of a cowbell
