From all I have seen on this thread I have concluded that I would love to have raced E class in Europe.

This could have been very bad with the Seagull.
Jimbo hit a Mackerel one time while testing in Florida. It jumped and came straight in between the front cowling and windshield and into Jimbo. The windshield produced a perfect filet stinking fish. A bloody mess from the fish and Jimbo’s bloody nose.
Fish scales were all over the boat.

What an incredible picture to capture that moment. The driver looking over at the bird is just awesome. What a moment in time!

Well..the E class in Europe was extremely popular in the seventies and eighties. SE, OE/F3, E and lots of local E class racing in different countries.
Sometimes 40+ entries for Paris and other big races.
I love the E class..way more fun than the bigger HP classes.

    More Stockholm GP 1983.

After the race in Stockholm all the boats was shipped to the United States by OMC.
The next two races was first Minneapolis and the weekend after “Three Rivers Regatta” in Pittsburgh, PA

    Thanks Pasi

OMC paid for shipping of all the F1-V8 boats to the USA and back 1983.
Well..we must get our complete boats to Brugge, Belgium and leave them there and pick them up when all the boats was back from the USA.

Here is a bit more from my experience..

OMC’s Ric McChesney let me use his brand new "Jeep Wrangler pickup" for the two US races.

On the way from Minneapolis to Pittsburgh I got pulled over for speeding and got a ticket..the issue I hade was Ric was driving behind us and he also got pulled over..but NO speeding ticket for Ric..

The two USA races in the UIM F1 World Series 1983 was a lot of fun.
After years of searching I can not find any pictures from the Minneapolis race.
    Only from Pittsburgh..like this one..
Please if anyone have pictures from the Minneapolis race 1983..please send or place them here.
    Thanks
