We had this conversation a few years ago and decided it was the angle the picture was taken from that causes the illusion of TII's. I think we agreed that the boat is running TI's.

Hi Bill ... Definitely running TII's. There is no mistaking those cowls with the air holes on the top front.

Thankyou! Thankyou! Thankyou! I could tell by the cowling profiles and the air inlet holes. I was NOT seeing things!

I am thinking that they are TIIX's because the TII's had the hold down hood pins on the top of the cowl to hold it down and I do not see those. The TIIX's had the rubber pull downs that held the cowl to the belly pan and I think I can see those on those engines. But then again....maybe I am the one seeing things...

This confirms the 1974 Merc Catalog shot of Reggie's #76 running TIIs. I'm betting that Reggie was the only owner / driver who ran twin TIIs on a Glastron Molinari. Probably had something to do with the factory teams focusing on single engine rigs but Garbrecht still wanting Reggie to run the twin for PR purposes.
