I think the question of Hp per cu in needs to be separated into, w/a transmission (CVT for sleds, slip for skis) or direct drive (us).

Ive said/posted this a thousand times, take your killer bike/sled/ski, hook it in high gear w/your 200 lb girlfriend on back, at a light, base of a hill and let out the clutch and call me and let me know how it goes.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I think Shatta (ya I an I me boy had a pit named Shatta) meant naturally asperated ..

But if we gotta go manifold pressure :
(two stroke would need new sleeves with correct port timing) ...

We can look to the brute power of the supercharged 450r porkchop ... @ 56.25 per hole .. Ppppffftttttt

Proline , Dillard , Petty ... FuelTech .. right out back of their shop . ( Monty is a dealer for FuelTech BTW ..Put their system in his Action Marine)

654.375 per hole .. They have some Pro Charged motors that make the same power..

Your stacking the deck brother ...

Boats use a bunch of prop slip to get moving , and if it goes 100 mph it's considered fast.

New bikes today go 200 mph off the showroom floor. So second or third gear would be about the same -same.

GM came out with two speed powerglide in the mid fifties. New cars have seven and eight speed automatic boxs.

I've said it a million times the marine industry .. is seventy years behind ..
