    WOW..great memories.
This is from Visby/Gotland, Sweden in July 1985.
Pelle Lindbergh and me took my brand new Flying Flipper with twin Evinrude XP V8 outboards to Gotland. Big rough open water 4 hour trip to Gotland but we made it safe.
Well..we got lost and ended up north of Gotland. The fuel-tank was absolutely dry when we finally reached Visby harbor.
I remember when we did this news paper story but I have not seen it for 36 years. Thanks to Susann I can now dream back and think about all the fun Pelle and I had during the week visiting Gotland.
I can add this..there was no one like Pelle..he was the greatest in many ways.
    R.I.P Pelle..

Don't think the above caption is correct...#24 is NOT Barry Wood, it is Canadian Rob Wood.

I have heard 2 stories tied to OMC's V8 program that remain unproven:
    (1) OMC was experimenting with V8 blocks cast from magnesium
    (2) Bob Hering probably had a prop that would have made the 200 mph record possible

I dont think you could get that to 4.0 litre with the short stroke?
    Where's my calculator....
    3.5 = 2.625 Stroke x 3.6 Bore
    will need a 3.84 bore

    Too Rare To Run?

Has the #33 gotten to be too rare and too valuable to run? I've seen this happen with P38 Lightnings which never flew again because of their historical value.

Well..Carina and I visited Mike Mullins (aka Mike Mull on FaceBook) in Winter Haven, FL for 5/6 years ago.
Did see the #33 boat but it was not ready to run. Not sure if Mike have run it or not. I have only seen it on a trailer.
The twin Evinrude V4 engines have for some reason Merc stern brackets..

It can run. Merc brackets are installed using Merc Trim. Scotti didn't have trim in 1969, just ballast tank(s)
