I know this boat very well. I did lots of modifications to it when it raced in Formula 100 class. I installed the capsule and changed the sponson angles and added lift to it.
I made the changes for the class and speed it would be running. 90 to 100 mph. Click image for larger version.

Awesome.! I will take very good care of it. The F100 class engines stuff is not easy to find.

Very cool Dago. I'm sure it will be a blast to run. Old BP gonna burn some fuel. Got a decent size tank in it?

16' Yes the 2.4 will be temporary if at all on the boat. Really looking for a 150xs or the likes. Actually any 15" inline would be fine for what i want to do.
I just dont know anything about the V4 Evinrude or johnson stuff.

Yes the BP would be thirsty for sure Xstream.!

My Dad raced against that boat in many F100 races when Rick had it.
That V6 is too much motor for that boat.
I have a Super Strangler mid for sale, see the pictures. It would be the start of a good F100 motor.
I also have a Clubfoot that can go with it, also blocks, cranks and other odds and ends.
    PM me if interested. Bill

Yes, let me echo what V4 said, that is too much motor. There are too many vintage boats that are overpowered, and when the demonstration runs become competition bad things happen. This is in no way a reflection on your abilities, just a word of caution. Plus the original configurations keep the intent of the vintage division. That's a cool boat. Best of luck with it!

A few photos of your boat from back in the day.
This boat won a lot of races in Formula 100. It was National Champion one or more years.
At one time I installed a canopy with a Kit that Bill Seebold was selling.
