This is one of the things I love and respect about you. "Put Charlie in a box and you can bet he will kick the side of it out with his determination" just like his thinking "outside the box" and gets the desired results....

Why the heck not! Personally wouldn't go as high as xs ports. Rather have the psi with domes and a bit more area over and duration over the adi .
Meanwhile since it's running good fuel dial up the ign, maybe a bit more aggressive on the pickup transition too. Did you mention ex temp being very safe?
How do the plugs look now?

If you run rubber carb boots like a motorcycle/snowmobile, then something like this (44mm)... you wouldn't have to weld on the block?

I know but I’m an OMC guy and can’t tell

Charlie, what was weather when you ran

    Cool, low humidity morning air?

If that was good, then yes to the vent hose for the speedy.

    Regardless, awesome project dude.
Id love to be there to see/hear that run.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I measured blocks last night, the transfer ports in the adi 115 are .045 taller than what an xs has unfortunately, so I'm going to buy a complete 90 hp 6 today, and cut everything on it in the mill. Probably explains why the adi engine won't rpm, along with the 8/10 cages, and the exhaust port being . 030 Lower

Quick reference, on an L6 thread here , pictures are shown , comparison between the L6 models. ADI are lower. I'll try to find those pics again and look.

Taller how unless I miss your description, difference of piston top to bottom of port at BDC? Also the actual port roof to piston top in degrees, adi isn't higher ported (lower ° from TDC) in or out .
XS actually has higher tranfers (lower number of degrees from TDC) than T1&T2 from stock specs posted. You have a chance to degree one and confirm.
Exhaust on twister is higher than XS, lower number of degrees from TDC.

    Gentlemen,

    Please read my thoughts below...

I have spent a ton of time speaking to my friends on inlines. Most of us know or have already taken these engines to the current limits of the design.

After 50 or so High Perf Boats I currently have a love affair with a 1973 Vector with a 1973 150HP 15" Inline 6. All the work has been done to make it as good as it can be to perform the way it should. However, I want more out of my inline. I have passed on the 1500XS and Twister style upgrades

It appears to me the wealth of knowledge and ideas with the men I have spoke to, are at a point where I may want to experiment with one of my inlines, and take another step unless it has been done already. The goal is a nice running and reliable recreational motor for those of us who have inline 6 applications for smaller boats such as our Hyrdrostreams and other boats like them.

How about a 200hp propshaft goal at 6250-6500 using 91-93 octane non ethanol gas with Aces additive if required. 50:1 or 40:1 gas oil mix. No oil injection:

Machine, upgrade, fabricate block to add more robust block and crankshaft support
Port block to support EFI application
    Delete reeds on crankshaft.
    Machine cylinder head off
Fabricate stock intake to EFI design with throttle bodies and reeds on the intake.
Off the shelf (OTS) injectors and programable EFI system
ADI or equivalent ignition system with enough power to support EFI system
Best stock or after market Rods, and correctly ported Pistons
Balance internal reciprocals. Magnaflux, Shot peen, Cryo or equivalent procedures for reliability
Fabricate stock cylinder head or new removable 1 piece cylinder head or 6 individual heads with Girdle(s) using adjustable CC chambers
Correct (OTS) exhaust adaptor and tuner to bolt on to factory 15" or 20" inline 6 mid
Use as many many stock or modified stock parts as possible.
All must fit under stock wrap cowl or an affordable aftermarket 1 piece factory style cowl

I have a 15" Merc V6 I can put on my boat anytime, Just want to see what you all think.

Respectful, Replies, Calls or Email with your thoughts would be appreciated. Scott 608 347 0027 or [email protected]

To be clear to all, I am 65, dumb an idiot and a fool. No reason to turn this into a **** show.
