Sounds great! Can't believe how high the nose runs with that cleaver. Like Insano said, make a pass with some ripple in the water and it'll be faster

I wish that 115 had enough steam to plane the SSM. Maybe a smaller prop if anybody has one to loan. That SSM is so efficient it just locks the prop up to the water.

Skip dinner and breakfast, throw on a pair of speedos, lose the t-shirt, shave your chest hair and head and go out on a cool morning! You got this Charlie!

Yeah this...running the 12 inch takes away the exhaust relief that those little motors need to buzz the prop.

My 150xs T2 with the speedmaster has a hell of a time breaking loose so I imagine with a 115 it's a similar issue. The previous owner added nitrous just to get off the line. I have thought maybe a some type of vent such as half fast has suggested but have not figured that out yet. You'll see 80 next time out. Good job.

That's the next step is I'll jury rig an external vent hose along the cavitation plate and then up, and just wire tie it in place for testing. As far as the coned case and top end numbers, I'm going to fix some chips in the pad, and try it again, and if that doesn't do it I'll give it some more timing. T2X powerhead is getting built and put on the boat next week, so I'll try this engine one more time

Did you add any additive to the top shelf pump gas?
Less heat in it , slower burn, need more ign?
    What fuel are you using?

Put the Wiseco high domes in it , give the ports some more, about halfway to 1500xs , build the proper tuner setup , 10/10 reed, set the carbs and jack the ign to 27° at cranking speed WOT, 25.5° at high rpm, NGK plugs, solid wires , feed the good fuel. No fear.
It's at 21 now, lazy 19.5° at rpm.

Yeah, 3 gallons of race gas is probably worth 1/4 mph versus 18 gallons of premium...100 pounds.

Same XS powerhead would run 83 on my viper and 81 on my Vector. Both are close in weight but the viper manages air much better for natural bow lift.

If your running corn gas it is not going to tolerate timing..some rec 90 and 1/2 110 yes. A cooler morning with some ripple will get you there.
