I had mention the Mercury race team members, but I was and still not certain how much of a role Alexander was involved with the Merc racing team.

Some of them were G class with 800’s on them like Treasure’s boat and the 16 boat, and the 800 boat. I took care of all of them. Luckily they never broke.

This boat eventually wound with the Russells. Brooke put his Merc 1000 on it. Last I heard of it was from a marathon at Lake Murray in South Carolina. Ronnie and another guy were running it there and it suffered major bottom damage and almost sank. I saw it when they brought it back and it was in pretty rough shape. Then it disappeared. I think Dale Disher had something to do with it as well.

It looks like when Little T, became a G class boat, she got rid of her fins.
And did she replace some wood with fabric/canvass across the bow deck to save weight?

i'm not butch, but i ran behind butch with one of the original 25000 mile raveaus. with merc 600 it ran 51. with 700 fleetmaster 52. with 700 sportmaster 54. now i know why my g class rig would not keep up with butch. he was running a 800 according to his post above.
