That Wing is my personal favorite. I was maybe 12, we had a 23' V King with a couple different Mercruisers. Started with a white 140 hp. Kept blowing up lu's skiing. Repowered with a black 165 hp. Dave did all our service. While my dad was inside & that Wing was there, I would go out climb in & play race boat!! That's why it's my favorite. Kinda like Brooke & Ronnie's ny record boat & the aluminum & magnesium purple d/e boat 5-6 years later I worked for Dave for a short time.

Co-drove the record boat in the 66 9 hour. My right leg kept going numb cause my ass was way wider than either of the Russells. Never saw the D/E boat run. Ronnie said they had a lot of problems with the bottom on that one. I recall it sitting in the back yard with a wood bottom in it
