2.5 EE block vs FF
Recently picked up a 2.5 EE 200, was wondering what the difference is compare to a ff aside from the chest? Different internal porting? Does the EE have reliefs in the cylinders like the 175’s? Would I be wasting my time with the ee if I were to modify it. Not racing it so don’t need every last ounce of power. Thanks

No relief ports in an EE. They are good runners. I’ve had one of my stock ported carb EE’s go 116mph.

Yea I got a EE on my Stream you will still have a good time on the lake with it, from what I've read there isn't too much of a difference on the water between the EE and FF

FF will produce 80 more horsepower and make you a chick magnet. All ya gotta do is read up on them

And before this turns into another bloodbath...There is NOTHING WRONG with an FF, it's a GOOD motor. It is NOT supernatural or magical. The fact that this thread was even started with this question demonstrates the ridiculous hype going around about these blocks. The OP read SOMEWHERE about the tremendous superiority of an FF. This kind of crap always annoys me, but I'm a cranky old bastard anyway.
I just did the CT River Run on Sunday and had no trouble running with the front pack regardless of the letters stamped on anybody's block using a LOWLY and obsolete 2.4.Living in the Freedom provided by Bud Conner and his fellow warriors.

It is ridiculous the hype and price tag surrounding the FF blocks, I'm happy to run anything else...

Look man, here's the deal. FF is short for Furiously Fast. It's the second iteration in its line. The first was just one F as it was just Fast. It's what real men use on there boats, hence it's chick magnetism.
EE is for Everyone Else. There built with Everything Else that's left after they pull out the superior FF parts.
The choice is yours, you want to put put around with the same old lame 2.5 Everyone Else has, or do you think your man enough for a motor that's so ****ing Fast it literally vaporizes any bikini tops in its vicinity?
I know what's on my transom.
