In Miami I saw Wings with dual stacks, and yellow offshore race boats too, but this Molinari hull paint-scheme said Wow to me.

In the early 1970's at the Como, Italy shop, I was condition to see white boats with race stripes, or with sponsors colors (mainly cigarette companies). At that time Renato Molinari was not flying any sponsor colors, therefore in that period of time his European boats were predominately white with race stripes.

Then came this Black Picklefork, with race colors. The first one I saw was built for the Paris 6 Hour race. And when I saw the boat, it conveyed itself to me as ... I am a bad-ass.

In this photo is what I see missing is the American flag colors (Bob Hering co-driver). It might be on the port-side.

The transition of horsepower and hull design.

Conventional hull with inline 6 power, eventually gets replaced,
by a Picklefork hull with V6 engine (and a new history begins).

In this photo you can see the dramatic comparisons, especially the paint scheme.
White hulls (which I mention in the earlier post) and then this early 1970's Black Beauty.

Definitely Bill Seebold driving a Molinari.
Seebold-Lowrys I think came out around 74/75.
I think Bill completed the most laps of anyone on Sunday in this boat.
