Hot and on fire..but Fred Hauenstein - Ron Hill - #9 Molinari/Evinrude CCC V-6 took the overall win in Parker 1978.

I believe that boat was originally Bob Herings no3 Saffa boat Bob submarined in the London Thames race and came 2nd in Bristol in 1977 but maybe Ron Hill would know the answer.

I think this boat was one of the Hodges that was fitted with a "black box" capsule with an aero cowling dropped over it?

A little bit of 70's Canadian Sportscraft history at a get together yesterday. Left to right; Peter Wilson FE and SE, Dave Lovell UI and FJ, Ian Crisp FJ and of course Mark Rotharmel FG, FE, SUI, SJ, U, S, MOD U and F1. Missing was Rob Scythes. Lots of fun conversation and great memories !!!!

Exchanged texts with Tom yesterday. He goes in tomorrow for the first of a series of operations scheduled for his legs. I don't know the details and didn't ask. I'll let you know what I learn as things happen.
