Does anyone else think NYC appears to be ultimately the intended target and other places are just collateral damage? I mean it could also be that NYC population was just the absolute most dense and vulnerable to it but.....
USA 18k deaths, NYC alone 7800 deaths
Canada only 569 deaths? Russia 106, China 3800 Hong Kong 4.......Weird.Last edited by at100plus; 04-11-2020 at 10:13 AM.

Just saw Dr. Siegel(?) on FoxNews saying the strain of Covid-19 in Washington State came directly from China... the strain in NYC came from Europe. It probably means something... I don't know what.

2.5 million people from the most infected European countries traveled to the U.S. from Dec.-Feb. New York is the biggest international travel destination in the world. Not surprised with the strain being from Europe or the high number of cases in the Tri state area.

You have to figure that the number of unclaimed bodies will sky rocket now. Even if next of kin wanted the body, what are they going to do with it? Cannot have a funeral or traditional burial. All you can really do is have body cremated. Assuming of course you can find somebody that is able to do that for you now.
In my will it is instructed that they get rid of my body as cheap as possible. To heck with spending a bunch to see me off. Take my money and invest into something wise, or something they will enjoy.

Nobody admits to their own "knee-jerk" over-reactions to this "crisis"... they just watched news and swallowed it whole.
A field hospital under construction in Michigan has scaled back its number of beds from 1,000 to 250 as the state adapts to its changing needs in the ongoing battle against the coronavirus, officials said Saturday.

So, statewide we're using 370 ventilators... why not buy 10,000 more? WTF???
Wisconsin struck out on its attempt to buy 10,000 ventilators. Now it's trying to purchase 1,500.
A Wisconsin Hospital Association dashboard released last week showed Tuesday morning that the state's hospitals had 1,229 of the machines on hand. About three in 10 were currently in use.

So, in the past week the .gov of WI banned window visits. That is going to see someone, they sit inside behind a closed window, you stay outside. Usually communicate over the phone. This mostly affects the elderly, or ones in nursing homes as the staff will not allow this to happen. Boy, this will really help to save the world.
And then yesterday, he extended the stay at home decree until Tuesday May 26. That is the day after Memorial Day. Waiting patiently for the bans to be extended until July 5th.
And if all of that is not enough, now it is also a "lack of diversity" issue. Give me a freaking break already.

There are 3 women there, 1 of them is black. So, there will be plenty of sammiches.
As far as the Chi-knee flu going after minorities, maybe it is because their lifestyles have not changed at all. The shooting stats for Chicago are normal and a majority of those doing the shooting and getting shot are black. How does that happen if everyone is staying home? And then Mexicans, have you ever seen how many they can stack into a 1 bedroom apartment? Talk about a risk of transmission there.
The virus is not racist, or sexist, or any kind of "ist". I have yet to hear of one trans-testicled freak dying of this.
