    Thumbs up Getting out

Old timing man. I think I was 12 or 13 when my Dad bought this new? Quad range: A,B,C,D for the range (A = slow, D = transport) plus a 4 speed. First to second sideways with no clutch, second to third with clutch (synchronized), third to fourth no clutch. It has been sitting for two years. I put two fresh 6 cell batteries in it, and it spun over 10 times or so then lit!!!

Made 10 or so miles with it today before I put it to bed. I think I will name it "Sieve" as much oil was leaking!!!

    Moving, moving, moving.... 😎

The last new tractor my father bought. Amazing how something can sit for so long and crank right up and roll out!!! Circa 1981 JD 4840 180hp. It was used right up to the selling of the farm. 37 years in service! Amazing!

Nothing runs like a Deere-even the little ones are great. These are both diesels and have been excellent machines for 20+ years-I use my little tractor pretty much everyday to move and lift stuff.

Joe, cut me and I bleed green. Last JD mower lasted me 21 years before I bought a different breed..... I will admit some JD products are better than others. Especially mowers!

The latest folly!!! It DID NOT LIKE IT!!! Full throttle to get enough pressure!

LOL! I was on my grass strip. It is 80' wide and 2000' long. But with fully independent suspension and 12 mph it doesn't take that long.

From what I could find, Ferris is owned by Briggs & Stratton and is manufactured in Sherrill, NY.
