It might be that test engine to meet the US army navy rule on 2 fuels shipped rather than 3 years ago so it had to run on Jet A1 or Diesel Originally Posted by DanUmbarger
The DFI engines were able to run on Jet a1 so thats where they went, E-tec was there first.

I remember this being built and tested. I'm getting old, but as I remember, it was a take-off from a Bell Ranger helicopter and was adapted to fit a 2.5L mid/Sportmaster gearcase. These turbines have to be replaced after so many hours and are put up for sale. Jay Leno has a motorcycle with one of these engines...
I don't remember this working very well and at something like $60,000 wasn't practical. Gordon
