Start with basics, compression and spark test. Then a complete link and sync, should not need different plugs after removing oil injection.

Loading wouldn’t be helped by a hotter plug, hotter plug just helps with plug fouling.

"loading up"?... at idle only?.. jus rpm drop till it eventually dies?.. jus lots more smoke?

loading up is gonna be one or more of these things normally:.. timing, carbs need attention, spark, fuel delivery, bleed stuff...

one little trick used with carb motors is to keep tha motor trimed at least level or a touch positive when ya doin' tha idle thing.. especially for long no wake zones..

x2 mine needs this. I use the jack plate lifted on max and a good amount of trim. It moves faster with a lot less throttle and doesnt labor to idle
