Was looking at new hatches only because some idiot forgot to lock the latch before leaving for a road trip and flew open at 70 mph and broke the latches/arms
Did t scratch anything else luckily.

Pulled the motors down to prep for paint.

Being Fla motors I also pulled all the p.head bolts to make sure they'll come out when I get time to build the hot rod p.heads.
Luckily they did.

Also found 48" slides for the bimini top that Ill be adding.
Did this on the old Sonic and loved it but they werent 48".
This will allow me to slide it far enough forward to cover the cabin entry for dew/rain when we're staying on the boat, driver and copilot seats.
Slide it aft and cover the bench seat and the sun lounge.

More ammo, after a short road trip to Pa....

A '2000 250 w/one bad hole, big rods, Wisecos, complete except gearcase.
A 3.3 short block.
2 sets of pans/cowlings.
Etc.

Now the decision is whether to build two 3.0 or 3.3 p.heads.

Cuda, havent had time to touch it in wks.
Way behind.

A nice lil bonus in the parts I bought.

The popped 250 has new:

power pack
stator
coils
plug wires
Chris Carson reeds
balanced big rods
all new bearings
virgin 225 late model carbs

Yay

That will all go one of the existing p.heads.

My previous 3.3 project, has same and will donate it all to second motor.

So if rotating assemblies are solid....., we’ll be good.

This summer yes but still a long ways to go.

24” O.C. which is as close as I can get them w/o interference.
