Lars Strom is at Motorcoach Resort at St. Lucie West.

    Small great world..!!
Bill (next to Carina) my neighbor here at the Motorcoach Resort is an incredible man. He spends the winters here in his motorhome and the summers in Missouri. I heard rumors of his Evinrude boat so today I got the full story.
In November 1966 Bill drove to OMC in Waukegan to pick up his brand new Evinrude Sportsman 155 boat. It was model year 1967 and Bill and his family went straight to their Lake of the Ozarks house and tested the boat.
Well, he still owns the Evinrude boat and its in perfect condition.
One more thing..Bill just turned 91 years young and I love to be like Bill.
Thanks for the pictures Bill & Nancy K Hedrick.

    Hi Lasse
do you have any notes/data/photos of when the guys created the v6 F1 engine, started with Cees then it sort of died out.
    Several posters here where involved
Did it ever do a season in Europe?

Well, its a very good question and I do not have all the answers. This happened during a time I had very little interest in boat racing.
I have done some digging and this picture is from the 2002 UIM F1 season. (I asked Sami and his answer is below)
Cees was the only driving force without help from first OMC and later BRP.

Wayne Taylor was involved to some extent.
I think they ran his heads, slide/intake and maybe the Mad EFI.

I heard conflicting reports on which blocks were used.
One says they were late era closed decked, finger ported blocks. Other said early era open deck w/finger ports added.

Wayne was working on a project for me during the end of that program.
I used to have a video of one running on a test wheel.

With it being a lost foam cast block, it would be so easy to make ( hot glue gun and a sharp knife) a race engine out of it, oh well....

In the background, Rt side of picture you can see a Merc powerhead and beside that you can see what looks like a closed deck OMC.
I half think I remember seeing the blocks having the notched exhaust which didn’t happen until ‘1999.

And yeah, Al Stoker made that comment to me 20 yrs ago.
W/BRPs background I had high hopes but w/the current state of retail O/B sales,I don’t see that happening.

Thinking WaYne told me Seaway was involved as well.

Notched/stepped exhaust chest is what I meant.

What is the purpose of the multiple, smaller venturi intakes? It still has larger slides behind it right?
