Yes, and it will be a good move if he did!
One of the smart things Intimidator did when they redesign the deck was round off the well to take all sharp corner out because those are easy points where they would crack.
Make sure to tell Arnoldo to do it. Since he is about 15min from me maybe I'll drop by to see this.

In Mechanical Engineering terms they're called stress concentrations. (Not to be confused with my ex.) I wish Kevin would round off a few of them in the Progression 22 deck molds.

I know that if a crack is going to start, a sharp corner is a likely place. In practice, are the 22 Progressions actually cracking there though?

I know that many criticize the angular design of the Progression but I like it. From an aesthetic point of view rounding the corners would take away from the style in my opinion. Sometimes function follows form!

My (admittedly 26 year old) P22 has only a few stress cracks. Oddly enough, that's exactly where they started.

I'm sorry guys, but I cannot fathom for the life of me the need for a 400 on any 21' boat. Brings to mind the old saying, "Just because you can doesn't mean you should." After all, what could possibly go wrong?

Maybe they could not get a 450 R

Merc claims 668 lb for the 400R, 648 lb for the ROS. Add something for 8.5 quarts of oil
