    24 SUPERBOAT CC power ideas

I want to go to at least a 300hp on my 24 superboat CC I use it for all around family boating some fishing and racing my buddy's ...I was thinking an etec but i like the looks of the verado also and maybe a 350hp one of them any thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated also fuel consumption is a factor and not a brand new one I am thinking under 13k budget

The extra weight and extra rigging (power steering, DTS controls) of the Verado kept me away when I repowered last year. At $13k you may be stuck with the same brand of power on it now to stay in budget. Switching brands means rerigging and new controls.

Also, and this goes for everything from powerports to power equipment- when presented with similar options, take the one that has multiple servicing dealers nearby. You can love your Evinrude, Toro, or Indian, but when it breaks and you have to drag it 2 hours away, you’ll fall out of love with it. Quickly.

Sadly, I think the odds of finding that nice used 350SCI in a 20” length ain’t going to be that easy. When I was lookin at used motors, everything north of the the Mason-Dixon was a 20” 2 stroke, and everything south was a 25”/30” 4 stroke.

I thought a 24 took a 25" anyway? Hmm havent seen one in yrs. You need to find one from a quad engine setup where the outside engines are 20" inside are 25-30.

Word on the street is the wipple tunes are weak.

We like them the G2 are torque monsters but power per $$$ its tough to beat a verado these days. On a boat that size the weight is not such a problem.

This ones been listed for 2 months im sure his price is negotiable.

Well I dont know about that but Fuller put one on his 225 Verado on his 24 Superboat and picked up 19 mph for $700 pretty good bang for the buck. Did a customers 25 Outrage with twins and he absolutely loves it now.

My bad, I thought it would have a 20”. The two 24s (neither CC) I’ve seen in person were both 20”, and the ones online in these links were 20”. Figured they all were, and as usual.... I’m wrong again!

Who is tuning them to 440? Getting info from whipple on the sci's are like pulling teeth. Simon never answers the phone.

    I have a pair of sci's...the holy grail(20") that I need tuned....

Just asked the weak tune is for the 400r the one for 200-275 makes a noticeable difference.

Just asked the weak tune is for the 400r basically just a limiter bump the one for 200-275 makes a noticeable difference.
