The filler they used was not the best. Seen a lot of them get bubbles and blisters near the orig water intakes.

As a business owner I get calls all the time How much to do this and that? My first response is Can you at least send me some pictures so i can determine its current condition? I learned the hard way never quote without at least seeing pictures. And even then Ive received stuff that looked nothing like the pictures. Anyway. Contact Ronnie Holzmacher up in New York or Jason Wolf down in Florida. They both do Real nice cone Jobs and weld the cone on then apply the filler. Youll have to contact them on Face book tho.

That's when they were in Ruskin.
I think their basic nose cone installation is ok. They still hang that ugly hose on the exterior of the case and use cheap filler. I was told to ask for the case to be left in primer too. Shook just got one done down there and said they did a good job. He is pretty particular.

THATS exactly what i noticed i called bobs they said if we installed it we fill in the old intakes to avoid cracking from freezing water that might rest in side. i meet a friend of bob and he told me bob has sold the business in the last several mths. new owners?

Clever plan. Reminds me of Bert Munro casting his own pistons. Might have to give this a crack just for fun. Any pictures of your mold set up?

    castings

A few rough castings, for now im just doing lost foam .I have to carve out a mold by hand takes about 1-1.5 hrs to make But that's not too long though and a bobs kit cost ya 250.00 bucks.I make em longer too and they have many times the water flow too.

Yeah I know that system well. I do the same with differentials and engines for buddies too. We all trade trades so to speak, get a lot done and have fun doing it which is half the battle right there. Are you using a grinder and a flap wheel to shape the foam or a file?

Die grinder with carbide bit for the inside,6inch razor knife and a 2x12 auto body sanding board works pretty good but each one is a little different but they sure do work good .

Solid info thanks. Are you smoothing the exterior aluminum by grinding it or are you coating with something to smooth it out? Your installed pics look super smooth
