    Had an Entertainer years back. Fun boat, but be forewarned- the metal flake gel draws strippers, nurses, and hairdressers like moths to a flame. Had to sell it.

    To me $8500 for a babied Checkmate that old is not a bad deal at all. Especially with the original gel, etc. Now I might would have got him to throw in the extra power head for that price!!!

    Was not trying to bust his balls but for that old of a boat and that old motor that's a high price to pay, but each his own.

    He still likes owning the boat too much to drop the price to $8500 for everything. I don't blame him, I think the thing is worth more than an average or even a really nice one by a bunch. I wish I lived closer and had a stronger desire for that old motor. I think I would be repowering if I bought it, so it doesn't work for me at that price and the last thing I need is a second power head to unload.
