Could have been...I believe this is in 1962 down in Miami the year my mom and dad got married. He won his class in this race and the trophy is about 5 feet tall. That trophy will be mine when he's gone. Not sure where he got his motors but he was pretty tight with Ralph Kozan in Chicago.

This was before I came into the picture...the caption on the JPG says 1961 Switzer...It almost looks like the old Aqua Pladium.

This is I believe the first wing built at Switzer...my dad worked for the Switzers from 52 to 62...he was one of the guys that built the wing.I don't know who the guy with his back to us is but that was Dave on the right.

Just talked to my dad and he said he did race around an island so your probably right. In an earlier post I said he won a 5' tall trophy in Miami but I was wrong...that race was in Blue Ridge, Georgia that he won the trophy.
