Hi ron54, I am not 100% sure who built the SE (Second Effort) F1-V8 boats but just sent Ben Robertson a message asking him. I know it was build by US builders. I get back to you as soon as I have the correct answer.
    Thanks for clicking in here.
Here is another picture. I think Ben Robertson is on the outside, Rick Frost in the middle and Gene Thibodaux on the inside.

Yes powerabout.. Ben can build you a Velden F1-V8 boat like the one Arthur is driving below.. I have seen all the molds.

More #5 Gene Thibodaux 1986 and Arthur Mostert in the # 2 with 555 sponsor.

Other than a Lee Craft (or two) I think the Furnal Flyers were the only North American built V8 boats built.
I don't think these Furnals ever made it over to Europe where as the Molinaris, Veldens and Burgess boats all were very popular here in North America as well as Europe.

Bob Hering did build and race his own F1-V8 boats but not sure if he sold any.

Any idea what length they were? it looks long in comparison to the Veldon...

I don't recall seeing one over this side.... not in the U.K anyways.

I have always asked how long the later v8 hulls were but nobody seems to know?
