That water was way too rough & windy for those boats that day.

Well..the F1-V8 race in Lyon, France was always rough FUJIMO..similar river and seawalls as Paris 6 Hours.

The great Italian F1-V8 racer Kicco Vidoli.

So many very good memories from racing Kicco in the F3 and the F1-V8 class.
A gentleman and a very tough driver. Always with a smile on his face.
    Kicco won in F3 and F1-V8 1985 driving the #19 Molinari/Nordica/Evinrude V8.
We lost Kicco a few years ago in a boating accident but he will always be remembered as a good friend.
    A mix of pictures.

The Jacoby, Neal and Crandall boats listed would have been made in the US.
More media before the big boat race 1948.

Yes, TRIM was a Swedish outboard brand from before WWII, as was Archimedes. Both made special racing versions prior to WWII. Archimedes became the ancestor of Crescent/Monark/Volvo

Lasse, did you ever race at Arendal in Sweden? The county where I live in Maryland is named after Anne of Arendal who became an English princess.

First Mark75H, Thank you for the Trim info. I know you are so good at racing/outboard history long time ago.
Next..when you write Arendal its Norway to me..Arendal, Norway is famous for Offshore racing. I have never raced there.
Maybe there is an Arendal in Sweden but not sure.

I did a story years ago about my racing in Norway..Swedish only but Google is pretty good now.

The answer is yes to boat of your questions.
Bob Hering built his own F1-V8 boats. Not sure if the #45 is wood or aluminum but it is a Hering boat with Evinrude F1-V8
