    Thought I'd introduce myself. :)

    Hello all,

I've been a member of a couple other internet boating forums for a couple years and figured I'd throw my hat in this one also.

    Little about me.
I grew up on a small section of a river in central Wisconsin, and have been boating since I was 12.
My little brother and I went halvsies on a 12' aluminum bee, and hung our great grandfathers 1970 evinrude 6hp fisherman on it. Rigged up a long fuel line so we could put the steel 6 gallon tank up in the bow. Didn't take long to figure out itnwould plane faster that way.

Fast forward 30 years, and im only on my second boat with a steering wheel.
The first one was a sea ray 160 with a 100hp mariner.

The boat i have currently is a 20' Baja outlaw.
I bought that boat with a cracked engine block, and have made SEVERAL modifications to it in the 3 years I've owned it.

It's had 2 different engines, (both EFI), I've raised the X, added external hydraulic steering, added bulkheads to stiffen the hull, and rerigged the entire boat twice, because I didn't like what I had done the first time...

I've learned a TON since partaking the project, glasswork, gel, nema2k systems, and stereo work. Here's a couple pics of the "Headless Hula".

I tig welded the exhaust pipes, and built the intake plenum myself. My little 3100lb boat runs 78 on gps.

You guys gotta be wondering just WTF I'm doing on a forum geared towards outdoor motors. (Yes, I call outboards, outdoor motors...they're technically outside the boat)....

Well, I'm ready to return to my roots, and im looking to upgrade. I've really got my eye on a boat that's listed here, and I'm in the process of coming up with the cash, so I can bring the new to me boat home...

Anyways, I've lurked here for a while, and figured I'd say hello!

    Oh, btw....
When I first got the little baja on the water, it only went 62.
3 years of making changes, netted me an improvement of 16mph. Ain't too bad for a rookie with a car motor.

Welcome to the site. Boat looks great in the last three pics but was kind of hard to see in that first one. What kind of boat you thinkin about?

I don't want to jinx it, I've spoke with the gentleman that has it listed, and I've convinced myself that's it's the boat for me. I want something that I can sleep overnight on, and that I can make my own. If it all comes together, I can guarantee that there will be a build thread.

I've documented the process of my current boat, and it's something I really enjoy sharing with like minded folks.

The wind noise is really loud in the video, but I'm passing a 29 DCB with a ilmore 625. My little boat hauls some azz.
