How about next years project? This sweet little "72" Checkmate MX-13 followed me home as I just couldn't pass it up. Found me a 15" 75 OMC with the nitro gearcase for her also!!!! Gonna do a complete rebuild of both and my plan is to keep her on the dock and use her to go to work ( houses I have ahead of me to build on the lake)
during three seasons as now it became a tax write off. You know like takin your sports car to work! lol

Made some progress on this winter project. Waiting on paint and supplies to arrive. Got all the crash parts. All but 2 are OE Ford parts as some became obsolete.
I did get the interior pulled to replace the seat belt re-tractors (part of the air bag system) and the drivers and passenger bags replaced, and reprogrammed the SRS control module. This system is back to functional now. This is also the system that cost the most to repair.
While this is apart, thinking about upping the boost 10lbs. And adding a set of long tubes and a cat back free flow exhaust. Hoping to have this truck done in the next month, so I can get back to my V-KingThat new to me hood I am going to make those scoops into a cold air induction, with plumbing to the K&N system it already has.

Turned out to be an easy job, had too thick of fairing compound keeping the tank from seating. Sanded it down and it fits like a glove. Put the first coat of easypoxy today
