    ...1978 Mercury Black Max Print Ad, featuring a cutaway of Mercury's latest V-6 motor. Lenny Jaeger, aka Black Max, was the owner of Oakland Marine, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, where Mercury was performing a photo shoot, and Lenny was used to drive a couple boats. They rest, as they say...is history. Lenny is still is alive and well, enjoying life with his many kids, grandkids & great grandkids, living just down the road, from his old original Oakland Marine.

    I agree with ya Gary; the hard edges do look way better than the boiled shrimp-looking things we've seen lately, and it would look pretty neat on a modern tunnel, but to my eyes none of them look as good as the older motors. (The I6 towers are still my favorite!)
