I bought this 1989 20ft anacapri and can't seem to find any info on this hull. It's a padded vhull center console. Can't find no pics. Already used the search bar and nothing! Has a very unique hull. Any info would greatly help me on getting the right setup. It has a 150hp merc carbed with a 14 1/2 x 17p prop spinning 5900rpm at 41. Has a huge pad and a huge setback. Thanks in advanced

Lots of them running around south florida back then. Anacapri copied all sorts of hulls & decks, as did everyone else making boats here back in the 70's, 80's & 90's. They were made in Hialeah, with a sales office in Hialeah Gardens. The original CEO & owner, who started the company in the 60's, a german gentleman, by the name of Eric Goetz(who died at the age of 86, in 2006), sold everything in the late seventy's, to a new owner. He was murdered in the early ninety's by a father/son duo, who in the same shootout, were both shot and killed by the owners nephew. Just another day in the life of south florida boat building, and everything that went along with it, in those times. I believe AnaCapri was out of business for many years in the 90's, but eventually reopened with new molds & designs.

I know they were made on 41st by turnpike down in doral. But I can't find no info on my exact boat. My side walls are way taller and I have a closed transom from factory. Thanks for your reply!

Has 13 1/2 inch pad and the edges of the hull are at a angle. Should this boat go fast with this style hull?

With enough ponies just about anything can go fast....But that's a terrible spot for a depth sounder transducer.

Here is a good example ... can you imagine a pontoon boat breaking trips ?

Not sure how much power the hull is rated for since there is no info about it online lol

No U.S.C.G. horsepower rating on any boat manufactured, that is over 20 feet in length. Only the manufacturers "recommended" horsepower. Skies the limit.

If it's built anything like their other hulls, you'd need to strap 1500hp in it to even go remotely fast. They are HEAVY. The 24' cuddy I did a transom in had a bottom that was 1.5" of solid fiberglass.

It's Definitely a heavy boat! Seems better built then a paramount or reaction! It has a 150hp now. Obviously it would be hard to say with out seeing the boat or knowing more info on it but with let's say a 250hp optimax do you think I'd hit the 60mph? I'm at 41mph with a really bad prop dented and chipped. But I've seen online that going up on hp dont give that many more mph for the money.(correct me if I'm wrong). Should I just forget about trying to go faster and just use it as a party/fishing boat

If I lived where you did, I'd find a slightly used 300 Verado, rig it with that and be happy with 55 or so. It'll be stone reliable, quiet and sweet to drive around docks and sandbars. Not to mention you'll be able to have a nice stereo and modern electronics. The 250 Opti will run similar but I'm not an opti fan in your application...

On average what mph do people usually gain with bigger motors? Like in my case from a 150hp to a 250hp?

Get rid of that transducer in the middle of the keel pad. It is killing your props smooth water flow. That should be good for a couple of mph.

I wish that transducer was easy to remove but it's molded into the hull! I'm not trying to spend a ton of money on this hull if I can't even get it to pass 41mph lol. Does that little amount of drag slow it down?
