They made a 29 & a 33 from about '77 to '87. Both Aronow hull copies/derivatives, with different decks, which was an extremely common thing going on back then. The list is endless. Sure don't remember them being built on 188th. They were built furthur west in a Miami warehouse district. Everybody was doing it.

I was with Naval Special Warfare Group One - assigned to SEAL team 5 with SBT 12, we ran these in the early 90's into the mid 90's - they were our Generation1 HSB's ( High Speed Boats) we ran them with twin 235 Evinrudes - we confiscated them from drug runners in the late 80's early 90's. We beat the $hit out of those things and they took every bit of punishment we gave them, pretty light in the nose, and out in sea states 3 and 4 it would get a little dicey - we outfitted them with .50 cals or twin 60's - I loved em - fun boat.

Joe Setton was a wealthy businessman that had many lucrative business interests...and many personal, and sometimes expensive hobbies. One of them, was boats. He was first interested in expensive saltwater fish boats, met Don Aronow, and this later sparked his interest in offshore performance based boats, and Don was more than glad to take his money. Don had eventually gathered up many of the available empty lots on N.E. 188th Street. It was a pretty barren street, not much there. One of the two buildings, across the parking lot from each other, he actually built for Joe, for his fishboat interests. The address was 3030. That building later became part of Team USA, Bobby Moore's Custom Marine, TNT Rigging/Parts, etc., after Joe died in a hand-gliding accident in the French Alps. Yes, the 33 Setton was just another Aronow hull based boat from the 33 by 9' 4" beam hull mold. (Setton called it a 10' beam.) The more common model 298 Setton started as a 27' Magnum hull, as many, many, other boats companies had used, which was an 8' beam. Most all the Settons were outboard boats, which was a bit unusual for these type of boats back then.

Thank you all for the feedback,
Specboatops i will post the pictures on here tonight from my computer, i also found a couple other pictures i have found from the same time period.
Fujimo thank you also for the info, do you remenber anything about the way they were built? I believe there is no wood inside the boat its all a foam core type?
Fujimo last question, what do you recommend for props? Do you know anyone i can rent them from to try different ones or things like that?
    I am running twin 2.5 efi 260's
I will also upload pics of the boat later today
