Stern Power was a drive builder for many years. Non-shifting with engine mounted transmission, like the Mercruiser TR and TRS drives. Available with the "speedmaster" unit, or conventional 16" or 20" props.Be careful with it. Parts are on the shelf next to the proverbial hen's teeth. Trim cylinder seals are prone to blow out if you back down too hard.I was working with the NAVSEA small boat division when the Navy phased them out, due to the company going in and out of business, and being sold regularly. Used properly, and within their limits, they were fairly reliable drives. I have even seen them behind 370hp Cummins diesels. We just could not get parts.Should you fall in love with the boat and want to upgrade the drive, Konrad Marine developed a refit kit for the Navy RIB boats that may work for you. And the Konrad IS tough.
