Mommy, it followed me home, can I keep it?
So as I posted in another place, a neighbor and I took my 25' twin 280 powered Talon to Chris Justice's first annual Lake Oconee poker run this past Saturday. Everyone there admired the 28 Eliminator and a 43' Nordic cat with twin, twin whipplecharged big blocks. The Eliminator had twin 496's with single whipples on each. I wasn't looking for another boat but the owner of the Eliminator should be called the Godfather, because he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I've never owned a twin sterndrive boat before and if somebody had said Saturday morning we'd be owning one before the weekend was over I'd have recommended they have a drug test. Anyway, here it is. Now I've got to figure out where to store it because it's way too nice to put outside under a tarp and my boathouse won't hold it.

Congratulations on the boat Norris - it's absolutely incredible. I have no doubt at all that you'll love it. And I REALLY want to see this one in-person, too.
I also want to see more photos when you use it.
Fantastic score on that Eliminator for sure, you'll really love it.

So, the most important question is....Which one is faster? Talon with eggbeaters, or the Eliminator with the blown mix masters.

Ain't it great to have papa TRUMP back at the helm?

Is that Andrew Zimmern standing in your new boat?
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

Yes, and what a great guy to do business with he is. Todd, y'know what I REALLY LIKE? 25 Talons. We've got two, mine with 280's and my son's with a mild 454. There's ONLY 1 thing
keeping those boats from being perfect....... the 80's styling on the deck. From the dividing line down it couldn't be better in terms of performance, handling and styling but that deck has got to go. The look of the deck on the 22 stern drive (different from the 22 outboard for those who don't know) would be a major upgrade, but what it really needs in today's world is a sleek look through windshield. It's one you really oughta' build.
No, that's Jorge, the previous owner.Membership upgrade options: http://www.screamandfly.com/payments.php

Jorge and John are great guys and great customer's. Did they tell you about the new Talon 22 XL with the big block we are doing?
You are absolutely right about the 25 needing an update. We have plans for an updated one, but with current work it will still be a little bit longer.

I really enjoyed meeting Jorge & Ann, John and John IV. John's 22 Talon with the 400 Verado was an impressive piece too. I can truthfully say that purchasing the boat from Jorge was the easiest and most pleasant major transactions I've ever been involved in.
Don't wait too long on the 25 update. I ain't gettin' any younger.

Congrats Norris! Just so happens a friend mine here is having a (not sure LGT, 26 or 28?) Eliminator with twin 400 Verados custom built in SoCal now! Be ready soon to drag it home. Can't wait to see the beast. Sold his 23 Liberator 300 ETEC.
Beautiful boat ya picked up! Wish the best!

Norris, friend mine just here shop and lives next Terry (new boat) waterfront here. Terry in SoCal now, and soon going to Havasu to sea trials, learn it..etc. And its a 28 footer too. And did NOT sell the Liberator 300 ETEC! (gotta have a spare boat..(or 6)

But curious the top speed your new boat, OR, what ya think a 28 twin 400 egg beater Verados?
Be well..wish the best...
