Starting a new 21 Liberator. Maybe a 400R?

I had some issues with the black. I finally cleared it yesterday. I should have pics later today.

In thinking about it more. I believe it should work . Especially since twin 2.5's worked.

But it's always an unknown the first time going in.

Looks awesome & with the towering 400R on the back it will look even better & if you change the red stripes that the black 400R brings to the lime green.....then it's like.... WOW out of this world. As usual, fantastic work Randy

$1300 more for white and colored decals. Since just the plastic is white, I can probably find someone local to paint it if I want. I ordered the 400R a couple weeks ago, but I wont get it until LATE jUNE. iN THE MEANTIME, i'M GETTING THE BOAT ALL SETUP.

This combo should be a nice match. Just out of curiosity, what speeds do the 21s with twin 300s run?

They have always run 104-106 right out of the box. The last year and a half, every one tops out at about 100. I have tried everything, but it's just stuck there. I don't know if Mercury has detuned the motors for emissions, but they deny it. Same props, same boat weight, same setup, same everything. One of my customers has an older 21 with a 2010 300xs. I weighed and setup the boat identical to my new ones. With 4 people, 1/2 tank gas, 2 anchors, and 2 coolers, he still runs over 96. My next idea is to put his computer on a new motor.

Wonder if mother merc is slowing down the 300xs to make the 400rs look better on new boats

Did liberator change there bottoms slightly or are there molds getting worn out where it might affect it in a hydrodynamic way??
